If you are new to SyllHost, this guide takes you from zero to a live website. You do not need technical experience. Every step below can be done from your browser in under 30 minutes (most of that time is waiting for DNS to update).
Step 1: Create your SyllHost account
Open the registration page and sign up with your name, email and a strong password. Verify your email address when the confirmation message arrives. Your client area is where you manage hosting, domains, invoices and support tickets, so use an email address you check regularly.
Step 2: Choose a hosting plan
Go to the hosting plans page and compare the options. Pick based on what you are building:
- Personal site, portfolio or small blog: an entry-level shared plan is enough.
- Business site or WordPress with plugins: choose a plan with more storage and resources.
- Several websites: choose a plan that allows multiple domains.
You can view prices in USD or PKR using the currency switch. Yearly billing is discounted: you pay for 10 months and get 12.
Step 3: Register or connect your domain
During checkout you can search for a new domain name or use one you already own. If you still need a name, read our guide on how to choose a domain name first, then check it with the domain search.
Step 4: Complete payment
Review your cart, apply a coupon if you have one, and pay. An invoice is created automatically and appears in your client area. As soon as payment is confirmed, your hosting account is provisioned automatically.
Step 5: Log in to cPanel
Your welcome email contains your cPanel login details. cPanel is the control panel where you upload files, create email accounts, manage databases and install WordPress. New to it? Read What Is cPanel?
Step 6: Point your domain and publish
If your domain is registered with SyllHost, it is ready to use. If it is registered elsewhere, change its nameservers to the ones in your welcome email. Our guide to pointing a domain to hosting shows exactly how. After that, install WordPress or upload your own site.

Open a ticket from your client area, browse the knowledge base, or check the FAQ. You can also watch server health on our status page.
What you get inside the client area
Once you log in, the client area becomes your single dashboard. From one place you can see your active services, pay or download invoices, renew hosting, register more domains, open support tickets and read announcements. Customers who are comfortable with it from day one usually have fewer problems later, so spend five minutes clicking through each menu item before you start building your site.
- Services: every hosting account you own, with its domain, status and renewal date.
- Domains: domains registered with us, with nameserver and renewal information.
- Invoices: unpaid, paid and cancelled invoices, plus billing details you can edit.
- Tickets: a direct line to support, with a full history of every conversation.
Choosing between monthly and yearly billing
Monthly billing keeps your upfront cost low and is a good fit if you are testing an idea. Yearly billing is better value because the yearly price gives you two months free (you pay for 10 months and get 12). If you already know you are keeping the website, choose yearly. Remember that renewals are charged at the regular plan price, so it is worth putting your renewal date in your calendar.
Your first-week checklist
- Day 1: create the account, order hosting and domain, and pay the invoice.
- Day 1-2: point the domain, wait for DNS, and confirm that your domain opens a page. See how long DNS propagation takes.
- Day 2: install your website software and turn on HTTPS.
- Day 3: create a business email address.
- Day 4-5: add your core pages and test everything on a phone.
- Day 7: take your first backup and set a reminder to repeat it.
Common first-day problems and quick fixes
"My domain shows an error." Nameservers may not have updated yet, or there is a typo. Re-check them and wait. "I did not get the welcome email." Check spam, then look in your client area, where service details are also shown. "My site says Not Secure." The certificate may still be issuing; give it a few minutes after the domain starts pointing to the server. If something is still wrong, open a ticket and include your domain name and a screenshot, which helps us answer in one reply.
